Last week started innocently enough. I had gotten email from Aaaahj, and we just wanted to know why VH1 was going to run a program called A Kid Rock Christmas. That evolved into another discussion about Kid Rock that was in danger of affecting my mental health. Luckily, I did not go insane because no more friends sent in information about Kid Rock. But I did get a piece of mail that I think is very noble. This reader is to blame for the resurgence of Kid Rock's popularity and is willing to take responsibility.
Just the other day a dear friend of mine and I were discussing Kid Rock, mainly by saying, "Kid Rock? Whatever happened to him?" For a moment, it almost seemed like Kid Rock had never happened, and the fact that it did seemed ludicrous. He had a midget [RIP] rap with him? He actually got a hit record from a single called 'Bawitdaba'? Pamela Anderson?
The next day, we were inundated with Kid Rock. Commercials promoting his new album, radio stations spinning the new single, I think he even showed up on MTV News. Anyway, I don't want to presume, but after all that I had a sneaky feeling that I had brought Kid Rock back from career obscurity, by simply asking where he has been. If this is true, and I hope it isn't, I sincerely apologize.

I am very interested in testing her career resuscitation powers, so I asked her to start talking about Fiona Apple. If a new single appears out of nowhere, we will know where to pin the blame. But she has more ambitious ideas.
I have decided to start talking madly about Mission of Burma to see what happens.
I look forward to seeing them on TRL very soon.
