I Love Legitimate Theater

By DragonAttack

I visit the Iron Maiden website every day, but apparently I need to pay closer attention. I usually only look at the huge news box and if it hasn't changed I leave. Earlier this week a new item that was a little bit further down caught my eye.

Iron Maiden's Gonna Get Ya...Dancing!

My first thought was *gasp* they used the Something Something...something format that I use on every article link on my main page! If this is anyone other than Steve Allen, you're stealing my bit! Then I thought, "Ooooh, Iron Maiden webmaster, visit my site often and then show it to Bruce Dickinson and then send me something like Bruce Dickinson." Or his Stranger In A Strange Land costume. I would wear it every day. Or just a photo of him from the Samson days. Whatever.

Then I figured, where there is dancing, there certainly must be prancing, I should take a look. And was I ever glad I did. This is without a doubt the best post ever. If you don't feel like going, I will give you the gist. The header reads Iron Maiden's gonna get ya! On Broadway!

Yep. Iron Maiden is planning a musical. According to the site, it will be a six hour long extravaganza. It's based on a movie about dance marathons. Brilliant! This is the best idea ever and the surviving members of Queen wish that We Will Rock You had such a great premise. I can't wait to buy the cast album. Best of all, there is that part where the post is dated April 1.

Dear Iron Maiden,

I love you. This is the single greatest piece of comedy in six paragraphs that I have ever seen. Please tell me that those comments by Bruce are real comments made by Bruce for this very special item. "Giving it that Broadway feel," indeed.

Love,

P.S. I love you.
